Not having one means you need to wait and see if they could assign a new or existing one to you. This is a reason why only a limited number of people can become a manager each year since you need to be really good in bringing money for the firm instead of waiting for someone to put it on a plate for you. Thus most of the time people who stayed long would leave at S3 (AM) level since they are not capable of getting accounts under them and thus could not be promoted.

no need identify la... by then u AM / S3 not much people alr .. all want to zhao.. managers also wanna run.
sure need to pass some account and promote some people...

just need to outlast everyone for that hours and salary.

Strategy projects of 6-8 weeks have tighter deadlines, are more intense with longer hours and poorer work-life balance than 6-12 month implementation projects.

Implementation projects have pretty bad WLB too. I just don't think these strategy guys are worth 2x+ our salary. A senior consultant in deloitte earns ~5+, while a senior consultant there is raking in 11-12k with 0 consulting experience (and some don't even have MBAs). Ridiculous.

You decide.. .or you believe you can be partner LOL..

Consulting managers do not earn 6k, more like 10k instead.

You are right that it’s not 6k. But it’s not 10k. M for consulting starts ~8k

SC at Deloitte not earning 5k right? Glassdoor showing up as close to 7k. Which is fairly comparable to Accenture C/SC pay.

Monitor competes with MBB which are already paying 12-13k for their MBA Associate/Consultants. So Monitor paying 11-12k for MBA SCs would not be ridiculous?

If you consider variable bonus and all, its around 6+ monthly for SC1. I am a SC1 getting 5k+ monthly gross (excl. 17% employer CPF just for clarity sake). SC2 incl. bonus can be 7+ i think, but definitely not based on pure monthly gross salaries.

What is SC1, SC2? 1st and 2nd year SC respectively?
