Q: Big4 - Yearly salary increment

Is it very difficult to climb up to audit manager and audit partner position in big4?

Alot of assistant audit manager left big4 because they know their audit manager wouldn't leave.

Erm audit manager is as difficult as Primary 6 promoting to Sec 1

but making audit partner is like finishing mulitple PhDs.

Can I ask - the low pay in audit is becusee audit engagements pay low to begin with, or is it the partner is ring fencing his/her compensation?

Heard the bonus this year will be lower.
Same engagement lesser manpower, or more plotting on multiple engagements.

Yellow: yea let’s just maintain status quo
Orange: hmm…

😂 every yr charge 1-2% more due to inflation or Gst. Ofc we are not “subjected” to gst or inflation

We never had CoL increment. That said, there will be pay raise for certain ranks this year for one of the firms, I don't know about the rest. Unfortunately the multiple bookings has already completely crippled my mental health so I won't be staying to see it. Guys who are staying put, keep us updated on exactly how shitty it is lol
