There's always low SES kids who worry about having trouble finding a job because they dont have a safety net and mediocre kids who think they can't do better than accounting. HR just like to filter out candidates for stupid reasons.

If not based on your Indian name? Offshore team?
That's why right now some clients want to see the team members CV before they award anything

Locals are mostly associates. Seniors may be offshored and associates handle all the vouching onshore.
