Does not make sense for you to compare the so-called average in B4 with so-called fastest in BB BO right? May I know which BB & BO is that with starting 11-12k - that is possible if the number of years spent in associate level is longer than average.

Am currently doing MO @ one of the top-tier BBs (GS/JPM/MS). Not specifying to remain anonymous. Average performer makes VP in 8-9 years (if you are in the grad programme - 1/4 of the class makes VP in 6-7 years fyi) and typically fresh VPs across the firm have 6-10years of experience (varies depending on your background etc.). Starting for VP BO is >12k @ where I am at.
Anyway I do have friends in B4 saying that 6-7 years at manager is very common (not trying to start a fight or anything lol). Average joe makes SM with 9-10 YOE and gets stuck there unless they can move on to D & Partner.
