strategy and internal support roles mostly locals. quota saved for audit and tax. a lot of JHK are PRs too which is why it feels like there's so few locals in the firm. max 50% EP/SP so there is bound to be 20% PR or so.

Not true, there are case by case. Currently there is also compass test. The quota is useless 1. Can exceed. B

Hmm not true for tax. We don’t see many foreigners as they are not just familiar with local tax and not interested in pursuing local tax qualification which would not be useful later on for them.

The main qn is whether you willing invest 5 years of your youth to go for ATA

Not easy journey and even if you make it, you might find yourself stuck in tax for a long time

I got C6 for English in O level.

But when i see Malaysians' English....
It is a whole new level.

Is, are, was, were all over the place.

In accordance with, becomes in accordance to.

SG should have English exams for those msians coming into SG.

Lol most of the JHK/JHB are some of the people that I swear that I will never want to work with when I get out of big4. Not only their angmo is cui, but their wp is a complete mess. Some climb until AM alr but skills is comparable to a local A2. Dunno how to use brain to think, only know open mouth and ask for examples to copy blindly. Sometimes I see FCH from local grad join big4 audit I secretly armchio. Study so hard ended up kena pwn by a JHK mgr with chapalang degree cert.
