Better than an external audit if you hate to deal with numbers. worked in both EA and IA, all I can say is that the majority of my time in EA was spent on tying numbers and vouching (not 10 or 25 but rather 50 and above). Disgusting af. Ya everyone says IA limited opportunities here and there, but the thing is how much can a junior rank learn in EA with the current state of audit quality?????????
I can vouch that work produced in IA is way better than EA. EA has too many tasks too rush to complete where got the time to even double check own work LOL.

But the market for internal auditors is not as huge. If u leave big 4 IA, where can u go? Only internal audit. Mainly only listed co would need IA and the need/demand for IA is not that great even if u compare IA with tax exit opportunities.
Internal audit only deal with internal controls, have to write tons of reports to say blah blah there is a control deficiency with this blah blah.. but honestly in reality who cares/reads about the internal audit report.. shareholders wont even be concern about it.

Internal audit mainly deal with internal controls and have to write tons of reports saying there are control deficiencies in blah blah.. but in reality, who actually cares/reads about IA reports.. shareholders dont even care about it

The market demand for internal auditors is too low. If leave big 4 IA, can only do internal audit outside. Usually only listed co would require internal auditors and even demand for tax is higher than IA.
Internal audit mainly deal with internal controls and have to write tons of IA reports saying there are control deficiencies in blah blah. But seriously, who actually reads/cares about IA reports. Shareholders dont even care what is written inside IA reports

Wad retract.. reject them..
over the years also got 3 offer from the same firm. All reject. Still acting high and mighty but the pay like shyt.
EA cannot do, especially for young grads.
Now no more work 3 years convert to cas. Imo no locals shld not do accountancy in local u. Waste of timr in ealier years studying so much and getting a useless paper.
