no i dun think so. because my friend was there for a year. he even tell me not to go there because it was bad. he told me try for kpmg instead as he has friend there saying that the risk advisory in KP is more bearable. However, no more openings in the particular role that i wanted so its okk.

u can join n see for urself.
but im not going. the pay is ****.
if im gonna get triple book, my pay better triple.

If really so bad triple booked, can easily jump to another b4. Sounds like your friend is just mediocre at his job thats why so much 'work'....

i left from RA, but generally what is said i quite untrue during the current climate. In fact, right now people struggle to achieve the 75% utilization rate due to lack of projects. This is the reason for the layoffs in Deloitte US which is also from the RFA department.

Associate dun really have a say on the booking made.
Even u do a good job, more bookings behind will be waiting for u.
If u do a bad job, maybe they will avoid u then u have lesser bookings ? hahaha

But he managed to go in as A2 because he got more than 8 months internship with deloitte.
Thats why he dun wanna jump to other big4, or else start from A1.

From what i know this is true because i have EY internships, i asked the HR in KPMG and they say they cannot give me A2 because they cannot vouch for my abilities in other big 4. I asked for 6 month review since HR doubt my abilities, HR said it is unfair to other employees by doing a 6 month review for me. Then doesn't mean it is unfair to me too?

Anyway, i secured an offer from big4. And im looking for better offers and i will terminate my current offer if i secured another better offer. Too bad. If big 4 want graduates with experience + cheap, they can no longer attract local uni students.

Because anywhere else anyhow pay also higher than 4k. Most MAP already giving more than 4k.

U knw why so many scandal on big4? ppl anyhow audit coz too many work to do. During my internship the freaking A1 dun even vouch the invoices and assumed it is correct.

In classes, we were taught that audit quality is important. But big4 is not spending it on quality. Big4 is also not prestigious. If not, why all the local uni top graduates FCH wanna run away from big4? Why do they deem it is a secondary choice rather than first choice?

This is an important lesson for big4 to understand what is HR management. The main thing for retention is salary / lesser workload / better benefits. They are being ignorant about it, it is ok. Slowly, the grads will move away from big4 and the work will be worst in big 4.

Who will they hire? the JHK and ceca. They are not even efficient and effective. I think more audit will fail by then.

if your friend is at deloitte ra, A2 is 4.2... not bad what next year 5+ liao

Hey, I got offered for Deloitte RA too. Friends who are inside told me not to join if I had a better offer outside because of the working hours as well.

Indeed after searching, I had better offers. Surprisingly the pay for RA is only 3.6k which is the same from doing External Audit. The progression at RA is not guaranteed too.

Flexi-leave is a big turn off too.
