SGUP-Traineeship at commodities, trade support/operations @ 2.5k for 9 months

Found new job in the last 2 months, starting in the new year Jan 2022.
Hedge Fund Operations 3.5k w/ bonus (unsure how many months)

Wasn't easy finding this role. Role was supposed to be for a more senior position (Associate) but I applied anyway. Employers liked me I suppose but I didn't go in without prep and knowledge of industry. Lucky to have a mentor-like friend who showed me the ropes.

Anyone managed to get into gov?

2017 - 4k
2018 - 4k
2019 - 4.5k (Changed Company)
2020 - 6k (Changed Company)
2021 - 6.2k (Increment)
2022 (current) - 8.4k (Changed Company)

Sharing the above for UOL grads/undergrads reference. I was self-employed doing my own businesses 3-4 years concurrently when doing my degree (2014-2017) and the first company that hired me recognized it as valid experiences which I have to admit I am really lucky for this.

ok what, those numbers are very believable

in fact, 6k+ at 5yoe is very slow by local uni standards

Average annual increment at companies are 5-10%
Unless you're promoted (10-20%)

Job hopping laterally can grant you 10-30%
to have a 60% increment through lateral job hopping is nonsensical. Unless one is very lucky or its a change in industry. Bank's lateral jump is ~15-20%

6k+ at 5 YOE is above average for the average local uni.
Many get stuck in the 5k bracket
