That is why some go to SIM and some make it into local U. But at the end of the day we are all singaporeans. We are all members of the human race. No need to keep pwning each other.

NUS undergrad here. Ya''ll should check out Saul Holding on linkedin

SIM UOL FCH --> LSE MSc in Economics --> Harvard MSc in Data Science

Wonder if the pathetic NUS biz student here dare laugh at him

Work hard, and focus on the road ahead. One failure at A levels or Poly does not define you.

Just choose the 1 out of 5000 SIM UOL theory. Very smart.

Hahaha funny seeing you guys taking jibes at one another.

Don’t be soo insecure SIM peeps.

A local uni degree will always outclass a distance-learning one. Me and my SIM friends, even the FCH ones all agree that they’ll take up NUS Biz if given the chance over whatever course they’re doing at SIM.

With that being said, all hope is not loss. It’s still possible to gain entry to “prestigious” graduate programmes or Management Associate roles, just do well for your psychometric tests and excel your case interviews cuz those bear a higher weight than your degree name.

Unless your degree hails from Oxbridge, Ivy, or the T10s... SIM, NUS, or w/e won’t have much of a bearing.

Got quite a big difference between NUS and SIM lah... As much as we like to sh*t on local unis, NUS name carries an appreciable amount of weight especially in ASEAN.

SIM 1st class can fight with NUS 3rd class, maybe NUS 2nd lower. 2nd upper and above dont need talk already... Even valedictorian of SIM cohort will be viewed as inferior. Difference in brand name is too large.

This is coming from a SIM student btw. Not hating, just facts of life.
