Admitted into SIM-UOL part-time BSc A & F in Sep 17 after ORDing in Aug 17, had 1.5 mods exemption from Poly Diploma and another 1.5 mods exemption after passing the bridging course back in Jul 17.
Took 4 mods in year one and 5 mods in year two while working full-time as a finance officer with 2~2.4k pay. Got my results last month, graduating with 2nd lower. Got promoted with 2.8~3.2k pay as a finance exec.

sounds like a good trajectory.
tbh, i see there is no difference between sim grads and nus/ ntu/ smu grads in terms of starting pay or trajectory.
poly diploma or a levels results arent that important

1. Uol graduate first class honours
2. Pursue LSE post graduate
3. Currently working in a VC firm, drawing 100k p.a.
Moral of the story: It's not where you start. It's where you end. Study hard in uol and strive to be the best and you have a way out.

LSE post grad (or any UK/US/Canada post grad) is very very very expensive. Not everyone can go there. Acceptance rate is easy enough, but the real obstacle is $$$$.
Alternative is SMU (for finance) or local unis.
