CA or CFA
I am currently in a FP&A role without prior working experience in audit. Also, as my employer does not sponsor for the CA, I have not taken the SQP papers. I am considering if I should take the papers but I will have to pay for the costs and am concerned if my experience will qualify given that it is not traditional accounting/reporting work. Another consideration is to take the CFA paper as I am interested to jump to investment related roles if there is available opportunity. Similarly, I will have to pay for the costs too.

Depends on what you want to do.
I don’t think you need either for FP&A. |

But I think we have to be clear what type of FP&A you’re working on, for example, retail? Financial? Property? And where’s your acc deg from? Are you fresh grad? Without audit background, or professional services background, it might be painful later on |
