Hi, anyone has received offer for the DBS ACE Programme?

I has received an "Onboarding email" from DBS asking to complete the full application by providing consent to generate your Credit Bureau Singapore (CBS) report, answering qns regarding criminal/bankrupt issues etc.

So I assume they will conduct a background check on me before the formal offer.

May I ask how long does it take for the background check to be completed? I have no updates from them for 3 weeks since their previous "onboarding email". Anyone got any idea??

Background checks don't take that long.

1 week after shortlisting, you will get an offer.

If you've heard nothing for 3 weeks, it means you're on the waiting list. ( If other people reject the ACE offer, then they might give it to you. )

4.5k, I got an offer from ST engineering data role for 4.8k, negotiated and they gave me 4.8k.

How much did you get? I feel like I got low balled lol not sure..

The other guy had an offer in hand.. that's why he was able to negotiate.

Don't compare this with SWE lol

Ikr, it’s even hard for a fresh grad with bachelor degree to get an offer for data role

How’s ACE compared to SEED?

here are the differences

ACE program
1. not open to everyone, specific people are chosen
2. jumpstart ML / AI learning right away and work on real projects
3. undergo various projects and expand knowledge on data analytics
4. incredibly fast tracked, small intake also means better progression for batch
5. high conversion to perm since small intake, similar to GA ops program, that program also at most 10-15 people.

SEED program
1. open to anyone, degree in maritime, human resource, psychology, nursery, etc. literally anyone... as long as you talk during techtrek, sure get in.
2. absolutely 0 tech work for the first year or longer unless you're lucky. first few months learn banking / accounting / financing. next few months OJT doing project management stuffs, prepare powerpoint slides etc.
3. no pay increment / bonus guarantee. 150+ each intake, you think they have enough $$$ to inc everyone? dream on.
4. no conversion guarantee. 150+ people, by year 2, maybe 70+ left, headcount only 20+, the other 50 get fired.

you think 4.5k is bad? there's a reason why GA and ACE both pay 4.5k ( negotiable ) while SEED pays 5.5k. which one do you think mass hires and fires?

I guess no. However, I was in oversea when I received the email, so i might have missed their call.

they will ask both technical qns and things about your resume

Could I check how many interview rounds are there for ACE? Just finished their tech test but I have another offer coming. Not sure how long the ACE interview process will last.

Did you receive the onboarding email? If yes perhaps you can check with HR about the progress of your background checks.

1. What is the training structure/pipeline like for ACE programme?
2. How is the pay progression like?
3. Will we be located in MBFC or Changi?

First 6 weeks training in DBS cloud
4.5k starting, negotiable up to 4.8k
3% increment after first year. 6% if you get converted at the end.
Changi. MBFC is for PM and Devops mostly. ADA / Data is at Changi.

Anyone still waiting for an offer?

Finished the interviews about a week + ago but had no email or calls so far. Have started looking for other jobs haha

I did my last interview on 20/6, got the onboarding email to submit payslip on 29/6, got contacted by DBS to submit my degree scroll on Taleo on 26/7, till now still no offer made. It has been more than one month.

submitting documents etc doesn't mean you're accepted lol they do it out of formality and to validate applications.

I got my offer one day after the email asking to submit degree scroll

Seed is no longer contract-based.
There is no termination, after 2 years will convert to associate unless special case.

I am surprised that DBS couldn't give any update on the application status after so long since the onboarding email despite few emails sent to them for updates.
For those who received the offer, when will the ACE program start? I think by knowing the start day, we can gauge the deadline to receive offer.

4.5k feels kinda low since SEED is getting 5.5k?
