shortlisted candidates will be called up. those that have not even go through interview, no calls will be made.

Do rejected candidates have to wait so long for an answer too? E.g after interview, interviewers take 1 month or more than that to get management approval and come up with remuneration package. During this 1 month or more wait, if a rejected candidate calls to check, will they let him know that he's rejected or will they inform the rejected candidate same time as successful candidate (i.e after everything is approved and settled 1 month plus later)? It would be unfair if rejected candidate emails HR to check but can only know after months that he is rejected.

rejected candidates will know you are being rejected within 2 weeks (provided you went through the interview). you can actually call the HR to check on your status. but really, if after 2 months still no news at all, most likely is gone case.

my own experience, the HR told me I can keep sending my resume everytime regardless they got post online a not. but I failed twice. now I keep my cool, I am not sending anymore. or at least, for the time being till I got more things to add into my resume.

During this long wait (which can get up to few months according to previous posts) while the HR pends for management approval and come up with the remuneration package, will the HR release information about which candidate is shortlisted/rejected if a candidate calls up to check? Some candidates might not be able to wait so long as they may have other offers.

I went through CDC interview for some manager post, and got a rejection email after 2 weeks. I wonder if the HR is the same for both CDC and PA?

I think that it would be good if PA HR can actually give some verbal reply earlier. My friend went for an interview in May. He called the HR to check in June and then July and early Aug and the answer given to him is "pending management approval". So he does not even know if he's shortlisted or rejected.

I also went for interview at CDC before. Got to know I'm rejected after 3 days cos I call HR and check. Not sure if HR is the same.

Which CDC? I went for one at central recently & received an email to inform me I was rejected within a wk. Quite a good experience. The people seems quite nice. A pity they didn't chose me.

I went to NWCDC. Quite sad that they did not select me too.

perhaps same HR dept but different sub-HR dept handling it.
