Company posting jobs online of everyone's role
 

Is it normal for companies to post jobs of everyone in the company every year? Are they trying to replace everyone?

It is sad to say but I am going to give you a meaningless and pointless answer to your meaningless and pointless thread.

Maybe next time use some brain cells and learn how to talk to people. Imagine you're buying Bubble tea and the cute XMM asks you "hey uncle what you want drink?" and you say "hey is it normal to choke on the pearls in the bubble tea every time I drink it? does it mean you're trying to kill me?"

I think it depends on the size of your company.

If it is a startup then maybe it is expanding?

It is kinda weird to post everyone's role though but are you sure it is everyone? Or just happens to be the people you work most with?

Also, I think when a company retrenches people, they need to inform MOM and, if I am not wrong, it has to be justified too.

So, it is unlikely that a company can just retrench a big amount of people and then hire back cheaper ones because that is not the sign of a company that cannot sustain the original employees. MOM will not allow that kind of mass replacement. The company will need to consider other options (eg. pay freezes, retraining, etc) first.

A company also cannot just anyhow fire people. They need to show proof of a violation of contract, or poor performance and if I am not wrong, some attempts at improving the performance. Otherwise, it would be wrongful dismissal and the ex-employee can complain to MOM or sometimes even sue for potential lost wages.

So, you probably don't have to worry too much.
