Do you think you're some god programmer? you think junior devs can straight away start working? LOL junior devs are idiots, all so trash. Need to be constantly babysat by seniors.

Everytime I see some junior moron in my team, I ignore him and make sure my team ignores him or her also. Don't like it? Leave. Go join business.

Eew, didn't know tech culture is so small-minded and disgusting. So much for tech being "advanced". What irony.

Glad I had much better and proper training from a healthy team in a non-tech job when I started!

hi,

im currently a junior dev at a large tech company. pay sucks ( 4.2k ), no stocks, remote job.

previously i interned here back when i was in NTU comp science ( grad 2021 ) and the work was fun, i got to learn a lot of things and go to the office to meet teammates.

when they offered me a full-time conversion, i enjoyed my work so i took it... but when i came back as a fulltime, i found out im in a different team and cannot change... im isolated from this team, whatever task they doing im not involved. i dont know why... i asked to be involved and they just tell me to wait for new tasks but it never comes.

i work here for almost 6 months already and still no work to do. is this normal? i know im new so need onboard all those but for 6 months ?

should i just leave and find a new job? anyone else faced this issue?

I wished I had this kind of slow pace on-boarding. For my new job, I had to resolve like multiple outstanding issues of a few systems that were pending for anything between 3-6months. On top of that, have to oversee 2 new projects. All this happen while I need to understand business processes and the systems and it doesn’t help when there are no documentations about the systems. Plus the vendor is only 6months new.

Like wth….

Smh so many noob devs here crying.

Face it. 7k fresh grad pay is for talents, not for noobs who join garbage companies and try to run lol face your job like a real person and deal with it.

No need to be harsh on someone not so qualified. It alrdy says sth abt your company if u take in someone who is not qualified for the position. No need to be mean, just feedback and don’t pass him or her on probation

And tech grads…pls be well aware that the salary range of new grads are because of industry demands, there is demand for TOP TECH TALENT not demand for tech talents in general

Anyways even a small shop tech role has median to above median pay for a fresh grad. Not complaining and upgrade yourself is the way to go

What the fk are you even on about?

Tech talent and top tech talent both mean the same thing. Talent by definition already means someone better than the rest.

TS IS clearly qualified... why else would they hire her back after her internship? you think everyone gets return offers after they finish their tech internships? LMAO no. Companies rather hire desperate 1-2 YOE engineers looking to do entry-roles than hire fresh-grads with 0 YOE and a few internships that most of the time don't translate to real-working skills. ( because internships are 99% of the time useless garbage where you do side projects )

TS is just super unlucky. She was in a different team during internship, form bonds, teamwork, all those then suddenly join a whole different team with 0 experience. Can name this company?

name and shame. Avoid trash companies.

7k rofl

You wish. Reach leetcode top 5% rank and contribute to at least 3 open-source projects with >5 accepted commits then come talk about "talent".

rachaeltan 09-03-2022 05:34 PM

all i asked for was some advice and instead i get a bunch of elitist babies crying... -___-

im also top 10% on leetcode, so what? top 5%, top 1%, leetcode doesnt mean you're a good programmer... anyone can reach it with enough practice..

real work isnt leetcode.
