What role/offer to choose as a new graduate who intend to switch to a product/project

Hi,

I am a fresh graduate in Singapore and have 2 offers on hand.

1) Site Reliability Engineer by Bytedance
2) Backend Engineer by Sea Ltd.

Total Compensation is higher by bytedance.

In future, I highly see myself switching to a PM role.

Which offer should I choose?

I like backend role more but bytedance has much more kick to its name and more annual compensation.

But backend role is more versatile and seems more PM are ex-backend than ex-SRE

"more kick to its name" sure its true but usually many dont last long in one single company. Many hop to another every few years or so.

As for me, im an electrical engineer graduate. Got into a mnc and having higher pay than my high gpa classmates. However, i hate that office desk bound job that i had to endure. Therefore i only lasted few months. Thought of going to other companies but it will probably end up the same situation. Only way out to go try other field with lower pay or get other degree.

backside itchy as in cant keep still? hahaha yeah. i was earning 3.5k but sitting at desk do software stuff. Cannot la... I feel drained out mentally. Eyes also pain. need strain my eyes to see detailed drawings. All my part time jobs are mostly as a packer or physical type. Even when im on my uni break, i worked as a packer for a month. Keeps me moving although pay isnt high.
