Wrong job fit and bad boss

The worst combination ever. Really regretted accepting this job offer. Dying to get out of my job.

Accepted the job offer because I wanted to learn something new. Even took a pay cut. In the end, it was really admin work I'm doing while I used to do specialist work previously.

Suddenly, 2 months ago, my supervisor's attitute towards me changed overnight. I did ask whether if everything is ok, and she said everything is fine, but she picks on my work and take away all my projects that I was handling. She also left me out of team discussions. now I was like having nothing to do in the office. I don't think it's my performance cause like I said, she used to like me and there were no issues with work. Even my colleagues felt that she's being personal and just picking on me. The best part is, all of us are wondering why is that happening.

I do not want to go direct confrontation as she is very petty. If I speak to her, sure will get worse during my time here. Was thinking of to bear with the job scope till end yr so that I can get my bonus but now with this kind of situation, I can't take it anymore!

Thinking of gg back to do what I'm experienced it. But worried that can't find a job as I only here for like 6 months. I thought most employers would deem me as a job hopper? Sigh. If I can I also don't want to change job so soon...

Is this a big company of an SME?

If big, maybe you can ask for a transfer.

I mean "OR" an SME.

I have been there before. This woman that I report to suddenly became hostile and gave me lots of stress everyday. I was scolded everyday such that I fear to go to work.

I left after enduring for 5 months. I was lucky to get a job before I left and that was when the economy was quite bad.

I am doing quite well. In fact, I last checked back on her status, she was demoted.

Don't worry about this kind of people. They can't last long. Leave your job and you will do better elsewhere. This kind of people will earn the reputation that will permanently damage their career.

Dear all, thanks for the encouragement, have decided to move on. Just hope that prospective employers will give me a chance to go for an interview. No point having a transfer coz even if successful, will still do the admin work and see still her everyday as we are all on the same floor.

Yo brudder hamsap. Which part of my post gave u the idea that "sg men so deprived". I said "petty", not pretty lah. U think too much.

Still you should give her a 1 x good one before you go.

Resign. Just do not mention this job in your CV. Say you took a break for some short courses blah blah blah. Or family member ill.

I also had a lousy experience with a lady boss. Fair enough that she doesnt know everything but she also loves to make the wrong decisions. As a results of her "acting smart", I end up working till seven to nine plus almost every nite. And at times, when I left on time, she was unhappy.

After about 6 mths, I accidentally injured my back. Hence, I left the job (without another) and went for my treatment about 3 times a week for 3 months.

I am sure you are feeling better once you left the job.

Women are not good bosses generally as they like to micro-manage.

The lousier ones use politics and PR skills to compensate for lack of technical knowledge.

I had a female boss once. But she was one of those who think and act like a man. So it worked out well for me.

Quit without a job, Now full of regrets

Hi,

I was also in a 'lousy' situation with a great organisation in July this year. I chose to give up, quit without looking for a job and has been jobless since end August. Feeling very down as age is against me. The job market is also very quiet now even though my line is considered iron rice bowl. Really depressing.
