Anyone working at SEA Limited? Need your thoughts about it.

It's the head company of Shopee, SeaMoney and Garena, please share your experiences and thoughts about this company.

I am thinking of applying a few roles inside, including Data Center Engineer.. Anyone work in this role over there before?

They are also mass hiring in roles such as analyst, devs, project managers and other infrastructure roles

SEA sucks. Alot of politics.

Generally age profile of employees there quite young, all trying to reach to the top. So you see alot of snakes, backstabbing etc,

This kind of tech cash-burning wannabe-amazon and alibaba company, sure got a lot of airheaded chiobus in corporate side one. go there slog it out 1-2 years, bang a few chiobus, then jump to a more established tech coy.

Shopee, or e-commerce sector in general is well-known for its fast-paced development. If you are joining for tech it is definitely better to join a tech industry because “engineer” is the asset for the company. Reason why they are given stocks in many tech companies. Certain industry (you can find out on your own), being a developer is considered a liability, hence there is a higher chance of being laid off when the company restructures.

Each company has its own perks and flaws and it is definitely luck to get into a good department of the company. But if you are truly good, going into any company will make you as successful, just needing more effort or some extra steps.

I see, this is a very good perspective. Thank you for your feedback.
