So do all the top tier US banks pay reach 300k++?
Or only JPM since they pay highest base among GS/MS/JPM now right...

Last year was a bumper year for IB because of inflation/burnout base raises + bumper bonus. Even GS the chronic bonus underpayer came out to feed the quacking ducks.
This year good luck. You started last year, you literally have 1yoe, you haven’t seen IB cycles yet. Typically bonuses don’t go past 12m. I’ve seen a BB bank empty out its entire VP furniture when fees are bad.
I work in private investments in a alt asset manager. Ex-BB IB. 5-6 yoe. I’ve seen my comp get slashed in a bad year and go up to $1m in a good year. Once you see cycles you’ll stfu in good years and also just put your nose down and do your work in a bad year.

Bonus dont go past 12m? That sucks to hear incoming FT at a BB here. Am aware that GS had super huge bump last year, wonder if it's the same for other BBs.

Typically 4-10 months I think. Some T1 US banks are on the higher end, say 12. I think Evercore is on the higher end and can even go above 12 in good times.
European banks on the lower end. Capital markets also could be slightly lower. YMMV.

Evercore is GOAT with their 160k base already...
Well I am incoming at US banks so I hope they're really on the higher end...
