I'm in compliance. Similiarly, I was a Fresh Grad from SMU that got into the scheme in 2009. My induction in UK was only 3 weeks, starting pay 4K/mth, bonus was only 2 months.

I'm an analyst. I'm not in compliance. If you're really in Barclays, which I doubt, given your narrow view.... Did you not bother to check or ask around what people around are getting? I do not think it's a big secret. I know many of my colleagues are getting much higher than me, they make no attempts to hide it because it's widely known anyway.

I see a lot of people don't seem to know much and are just anyhow humtum based on what they hear from rumors.
DBS MA is definitely not 4K, this kind of peanut they will never get anybody. Normal fresh graduate joiners already >4K, I think many ppl here are confused between MA and fresh graduate joiners who are sometimes called Associates.
DBS MA definitely at least 7k, but this program is very competitive and very few can get in. Above poster say 7.5k which definitely sounds more accurate. 8-10K is quite common in foregin banks and local banks usually lower at 7-8k. Some of the numbers here are laughable, nobody will join a MA program for 4K for christ sake.
As for Jap banks, my understanding is their basic is higher, but bonus not good.

My experience not investment bank, but fund house - Franklin Templeton with 2 years experience and Masters in Applied Finance
Buy Side Analyst
Basic - $9.2k p.m.
Allowance - $1.5k p.m.
Profit Sharing - ~$30k every quarter
Thinking of furthering my career in a bank, can anyone advise the package of roughly same job and experience in a foreign bank?

Your total package quite good already, so I dont think the local banks can offer you more. Since your salary + allowance is almost 11k, you can try foreign bank & ask for 13k - 14k.
Important thing is prospect which a foreign bank definitely have more to offer than a purely AM company.
