Geographically, location is perfect, an understatement really. Smack right in the middle of CBD with tonnes of eateries nearby. Bubble tea parlors, hawker stalls, medical institutions, Tanjong Pagar MRT Station... the list goes on. I'm working around the area and IP does have an unique appeal. Only grouse, parking doesn't come cheap.

I'm not sure what those "PULL PULL" and all previous related postings meant. But if you guys are talking about recommendations, it's risky business! Your CREDIBILITY is at stake. If you're bringing in ex-colleagues just to build your own cliche or "soul groups" or "buddy-links", BE CAREFUL. You don't wanna bring in duds who can't perform. Or even worse, plunge into "group think" mental models. It also deprives other potential candidates a chance. You look silly in the end.

Food for thought. Interesting postulations. This forum is certainly an eye-opener!

Actually hor, if it is not about friend-friend, then ok. But if bringing in just because of friend friend then not ok lah. I feel should be based on the personal ability. I rather bring someone who I know but not that close but I know the person can make it. Better for yourself and the company too.

Don't agree with Xiao Wei. Not sure if anyone will recommend someone truly based on qualitative traits. There's bound to be apprehension. "What is she outperforms me?" You get my point?

Interesting point! Meow!! (catfight)

Didn't enquire but there seems to be no vacancy for Customer Service (executive level) positions from their website. Would like to know more about their culture though. Just to clarify, I'm an executive level staff at an American MNC - also known as "Div 1" in the govt sector.

You might want to consider depositing your resume. Don't give up, don't despair! If you are truly talented, you will be given the opportunity.

ChrissyBelle 11-04-2013 03:59 PM

Agree with Grace. Talent is hard to come by nowadays. If you have the will, there will be a way! What sort of qualifications do you have Mark? Care to share?

Just popped by to give my 5 cents worth. Writing skills is an essential attribute.
