What is the best local degree?

I know this question has been asked a lot of times but the answers are different depending where you look. Just want to hear opinions here, but what do you think is the best (undergrad) degree to do now and why?

So best would be NUS CS or Biz? Heard people saying CS does not have good career progression although not sure how true this is.

What's the point in earning so much money? Life is transient and illusory, money is nothing more than a fantasy. Be true to yourself my friend.

Law and Accountancy
That’s where the smartest people go and these are specialised professions

Accountancy is the field that will get replaced by robots.

Cs has more competition but it opens the most opportunities. But if you suck, then not much progression. Biz the opportunties are there, see what you want to specialise. If youre really smart, then take both. CS + strong bz acumen quite rafe.

With arts, you can think of things that are unthinkable. Touch things that are untouchable.

With arts, you can dream all you want until you cant differentiate whether you are asleep dreaming or awake dreaming.

Would not recommend law - the hourly rate is shite and the glut of graduate lawyers continues to persist. In addition, come 2023 wannabe lawyers will have to do 1 year of training instead of the current 6 months. During training even the big 4 law firms only pay 2k/month. And these will still have to study for the Bar on top of training.

CS starting pay is higher than law now.

Very bright future indeed as an arts/humanities person in Singapore. No career prospects except being a teacher and complaining about kids/parents and their low salary in the "career as a teacher" thread. LOL
