Fresh grad programmer earning $5,000 salary?

There are alot of ways a computer science person make their mark...

Most are from entrepreneurs.

Make own product. Start company etc.
started like that.
Instagram started like that.
Fitbit started like that. Now bought by Google etc...

It's only in Singapore where the mentality is I'm such a rare talent I deserve high pay bla bla.

But I'm not capable enough to start my own product that could make me millionaire...

Sad really
Singapore has alot of educated workforce...

All groomed to be slaves rather than leaders

Most likely from SEA.. stock 30x over the last few years. Top NUS students in 2018 making 500k per annum is real.

And they're paying it only because they have the deal with gov that they have to hire half of tech team locally. and local tech pool is very scarce. if no such limit, they brought in developer from china at half price with better skills. Indians on the other hand is the alternative that companies offshore their IT. all local big names has tech hub in India. there is simply not enough tech resource from local talent pool, plus smart locals all want to do doctor, lawyer, business...

India have the pool but quality is pretty bad to average.
China have the pool and the quality.

No test experience. No dependency injection. Just now how to write everything in 1 function. Don't know how to separate the responsibilities into multiple class.
No performance experience. All the code they written is synchronous. No async. No petroemajcr tuning. No cache.no memory. Not scalable....

Give basic requiment also just dumb dumb follow requiment. Can't think of the possible implications.

Got issue don't know how to resolve. Just know how to quick fix. And introduce more bugs.
No concept of design pattern.
No concept of object. Everything is enbdeed in the UI code logic.
How to ****ing test.

Tbe code they write are for the compiler to understand.
Another human can't understand their code...

Fresh grad are really bad...
Means u are hiring those cui one at high pay.
Recruitment and entry barrier need to step up. Need Better technical test to filter out.
Alternatively, could be your experience is outdated since technology evolved so fast :P
