hi, i'm currently a civil servant with 4.5 yrs of experience...thinkin of crossing over to dbs for their data analytic position...i'm proficient in SAS (EG,BASE,MINER,OLAP) and SAP, data mining and data analytics are my specialty...the ministry does not value individuals with such specialty...im currently commandin a pay of 4.3k, was wonderin if i can demand a 20% pay increment when i cross over...anyone for advice? thanks.

Is there a rough timeline for associate to be promoted to senior associate?

Analyst to associate takes about 2-3 years. There is no 'senior associate' internal rank. DBS ranking structure is Analyst > Associate > AVP > VP > SVP > MD.

I suppose a 'senior' associate would be a associate with >2 years exp.

Then I guess all those senior associate I met at dbs just put the senior infront of their associate on their name card to self high

Usually more like 3-4 years. My friend has been an assoc for like ages and he is already 35 and drawing like 7k+. Prolly reaching the end of the assoc pay scale and shd be promoted soon.

Was he promoted to senior associate?
