If possible, avoid IT consultancy companies.

If you are part of the dev team like software engineer or software tester etc. you will be attached to the client company as "vendor". It is like being an orphan living in someone else house. Given lesser food and can only continue doing household chores when the family go out for an outing. Basically treated as 2nd class citizen and get lesser pay. When the whole department goes to a company event, you won't be invited. Whole office empty except your desk.

attached to client company... means report to the client place everyday??
Sounds like so recruitment agency kind...
How is the expected pay like for fresher? If do tester... is it very technical? Or use enterprise software kind

This is true.

Im a systems admin for a tech consultancy. After a year of onboarding and training in hq, I was attached to a big tech firm without all the perks given to an in-house employee.

My gross salary is definitely higher than the in-house guys lah but the pains of small stuff like not being entitled for bonus, lesser PTOs, no stock options will definitely accrue up in the long run. Especially when ure doing the exact same job.
