mom Investigative Role

Currently offered an enforcement/investigation officer role with ministry of manpower. What are the prospects/ progression like? I'm ok with the job scope stated but slightly unsure about the progression.  

Also, what is the culture like in the ministry of manpower specifically in investigation/ enforcement areas.

  Salary offered is slightly lower than my previous job of 3 years (different industry), wondering if i should take up the offer
