University never teach student to be senior management. They teach students to be bottom slaves.

Which is also one of the reason why senior management are not all taken by fch and smart people. Cause they don't have the political and interpersonal skills to accpet high pay and do nothing...

They are brainwashed into thinking if I'm worth 10k I must write code that can compete with Facebook.
End up imposter syndrome.

Poor fresh grad. Waiting for your delusional dream to be crushed by the harsh reality that no company will offer you big bucks to do nothing.

You write the tech etc. The lead that supervise you get the credit and get promoted.
Then you quit out of frustration but can't find your place again.

So just hope from one tech giant to the next tech giant. Always chasing for the elusive dream
But ur not director. U 2k a month admin exec nia. LUL

See... This is where you are stupid.
Project manhement is most often if not, is manage customer. Manage customer expectatjon, manage custoner demands, manage customer complain, manage customer deadline.

Very seldom is manage deveelopr.
Many developer don't want to be managed. Their inspiration comes when it comes.

No wonder fresh grad lack experience and skills in both coding and management la.

20k per month director. I just managed a 100 million 10 years contract with a ministry...
I sign the paper. The name go thru me. Taken picture everything.

Now in promoted to lead another division. I brought in 100 millions dollars for the company...
Let the bottom developers deal with the details. And stress over the deadline.

So go and learn to be slaves...
While the true knowledge is not taught in school.

Just like school don't teach fresh grad "please lunch with your boss"
All fresh grad all lunch with themselves.. Those who lunch with their boss get promoted. Those who don't. Doesn't..

Simple things school don't teach.
School teach. Rush meet deadline. To get better grade must do more.

Real world. Delegate to ppl. If it doesn't work, let the blame be on the developer. Affect the developer kpi performance. If it works, take credit its because of my management style that this project can deliver.

Fresh grad don't know all this skills.
Only know how to debate and argue in meeting with your seniors

Seniors know to just shut up. Don't argue with your boss.
Then during lunch slowly try to make the boss see your reason.
Use your management skills to manage your boss.

Oh wait fresh grad don't have those skills.
Just know how to "i get 4.5 GPA I don't socialise, I get 10k per month in tech giant. I retire"

This kind of fresh grad are usually the kind that doesn't succeed in life while his 2nd lower classmates who thrive at being average get promoted because he is more human. More approachable. And by extension more professional.

Boss don't care you can write the fastest algorithm
Boss care that your attitude is like ****.
