If you truly earn >10k as a fresh grad, I highly doubt that you have the time to start a fight on forums. Why so pitiful until need to prove?

it's normal for fresh grad who studied like what? 12 years of their life? get good grade and demands success on their first job.
it's only normal to dream big at the start.
but we seniors already old, gone thru like 10 to 20 years of annual performance review by non tech boss who grade u average deny u that promotion and bonus...
u start to lose faith in this industy and find happiness in elsewhere like with ur family, ur kids...
so most of the days i don't even look at my 5.9k salary and compete with all this fresh grad. what i look forward everyday is waking up and be a good day. teach my kids compassion and kindness and hope they lead a happy life...
next year's fresh grad will pick a fight with 2020 fresh grad when they become seniors haha. this cycle never ends.
People with high pay complain long hours no live.
People with low pay complain also long hours no live. and low pay.
People with life complain no pay.
Just go buy lottery and toto la there is higher chance u can win big like that. Than to "fake ur way into tech" for the $$$.
FAANG pay good $ to attract talent. if u can't perform, guess what... you are out...
no job stability. unless my friend who worked in NCS from start and loyal since then.. he is now senior vice president in NCS.
So yes, you nerd techie can dream big and grab that big money la, cause ur brain will start to be less worthy the longer u work...
Word of the wise... climb the senior management role. thats the way to ensure job growth and stability...
tech job is a young man industry. u will be passed over by the fresh grad in 2040 .. trust me.

Case 1:
10k per month
9am to 9pm 6 days per week
Total hours per month = 12*6*4 = 288
Making 34.7 dollars per hour
Case 2:
5k per month
900 am to 5pm 5 days per week
Total hours per month = 8*5*4 = 160
Making 31.2 dollars per hour.
I don't know about you.
But the difference is just 3.5 dollars per hour.
Not that much bro

School kids have even longer hours.
Wake up 6 am cramp MRT / bus to school.
Non stop new information/learning/mental stress
after school long hours in tuition center while daddy and mommy at work...
can't go home.
wait for daddy mommy to pick them up after work around 6pm/7pm
then at night daddy mommy tell the kids must finish homework.
weekend both saturday and sunday study and do homework...
student life is longer hours..
and doesn't get paid..

case 1: earn 12 * x * 288 hrs of experience in 1 year
case 2: earn 12 * x * 160 hrs of experience in 1 year
Tank 2 years, take 10k / mth salary + experience over ur "healthy worklife balance 9-5" peers, jump ship to company with more structured working hours (FAANG).
Switch to lower gear and farm until senior.
Go govt sector farm until retirement.
If you willingly accept 996, main benefit is u have more opportunities to accomplish & learn more than ur peers tank 2-3 years then jump ship. Nobody stupid enough to sign up to 996 for the pay only...

So sad, Mark zuckerberg 15 billion... all this fresh grad want to work for facebook slaving away at 6k/month for that guy to become billionaire.
should just start a social media company to compete with facebook la. if not, then it's no skills.
