Because there are other side benefits. Like piak piak Xiao mei mei students. Or seeing zao geng when teaching lessons

In lecture halls nowadays girls all wear so short and no close legs. All kinds of colours can see. Sometime cannot even concentrate while teaching.

Looks like I have been lowballed badly. HR offered me 6.5k , quoting that annual gross can reach up to 16 month package on an average.
Is 16 months really the average in poly ?

How much is the annual increment ?

Thanks

I have applied to poly for non-teaching position - admin side as an assistant manager.

Could someone share under what scheme I will belong to and what are the different salary slabs?

Hi All,
May I check with the Poly lecturers here, if it’s possible to hold an appointment of being visiting lecturer in some overseas institutions while serving as Polytechnic lecturer in Singapore ? I saw on LinkedIn that some poly lecturers hold such visiting lecturers roles outside too. Could anyone shed some light on this aspect? Thank you

This is civil service. Your pay is based on your bachelors. Masters, PhD maybe help your CV to stand out from the rest, but doesn't really boost your pay much. People are paid based on their YOE. 6.5K for 4yr of work experience is just about right.

In civil service, you can expect 1 month of AWS. Performance bonus of 1.5 month for C, 2 months for C+, 2.5 months for B.
Depending on economy, if economy is doing well, growing above 2-3%, june and dec bonus should add up to around 1 month.

The average C grader in an average year will get 15.5 month. Get less if economy is not doing well.

Annual increment for average C graders is around 2%, until you hit your pay ceiling.

Poly IPS pay-scales are very very wide. Some newbies join only $3-6k; while senior lecturers can be $7-11/13K (incl. bonuses) & lecturers with managerial appts/asst/deputy directors etc above can be $9-15k++ (incl.bonuses). Some r promoted fast over several ranks while some r stuck halfway at ceilings.

entry lvl means those with 5 years experience and degree? 5k flat is normal?
