Don't bull la... you're saying a non-medical manager earns equal/ more that a Registrar? Usually non-medical grad goes in as Executive, then Senior Executive, then Assistant Manager and Manager. Manager usually takes about 6 - 8 years to reach. Some take 10 years even. Granted that starting salary is about $3.2k now, you think it can triple in 6 - 8 years time?
The more reasonable range to think is around $6k - $7k. So please don't mislead people.

FYI almost half of the people gets an "A" for their appraisal at the hospital. I don't know the reason why, but I am assuming that is part of their rewards/ recognition strategy. Their bonus quantum for different grades do not differ that much mind. So I do not know where you got your source from. But as almost half of the people are top performers, are you saying half of those managers are earning 8 - 9k?

It is standard bell curve, where got half the people get A? A should be top 15-20% already.

Ya That's What Everyone Thinks Or Expects. But no. Go do your own survey by asking ard. You'll be surprised.

I already ask around, in my department we definitely do not have 50% of the people as A. I know someone close from another unit, she is not aware that half of the people are A either.
Either your colleagues smoking you or the people around you are all top performers.

So have you asked around the Managers for their monthly salary? Are they drawing 8-9k?
