What to choose

I'm facing a choice to choose either math&eco or physics in NTU. I sincerely want to do some research, but with an NTU master's degree, I'm not sure how far I can go.

If it's just between eco&math vs physics, I would choose eco&math which should more employment opportunities including: bank analyst and even maths tuition business.

econ & math is more marketable and easier to find a job

i know a physics phd who's doing financial modeling now (from a top asian university), but i think its gonna be tough to pull this off if you're an average performer

Yes quants in FO quite often come with physics phd cos financial modeling is very similar to certain physics modeling involving differential equations and such. But only the best of the best are recruited.

Thank you all, I will go to Math & Eco, it seems that it is better for the future~
