You can’t do jack.

Concurrently apply to multiple companies and just accept the offer with the better comp. If you don’t have any other options then suck thumb lor.

either get multiple offers (or pretend you have a better offer), alternatively you can always try and join cs/sb as they dont tend to lowball during crisis as badly as pte companies

Try to nego lor but unlikely they will be open to nego with you. Because if you don’t want the offer, there are 10 jobless ppl out there who will be over the moon happy with it.

Now is employer’s market liao, advice to you is just suck it up and take the offer first.

Cut starting salary? Or cut for all?

Personally for me, it seems to be immoral, why we should use such a situation to surpress the offer of a contract which is signed for a longer period of time? I totally understand the financial situation of all the countries, but it doesn't mean that they show lower the salaries, as the prices for the products in supermarkets are not lowered as well. The main problem HR department and managing in general is that they can't make the system work properly. So instead of making an effort and make the system work well to save some money on other spendings, they just save money from workers salaries. In general, there are a lot of human resources softwares that helps to manage everything, but people doesn't want to search and to use them. The HR department from our companies uses a lot of softwares and tools that leaded them to the top management department of the state.

I'm from SIM University with a good degree in finance and econs. Manager recently decreased my pay from $5 per grab order to $4.50 per grab order.

Compared to other SIM UOL grads, I'm still doing very well. So will keep the job :D
