Is HR a good career to go/switch into?

Coming from a traditional engineering, been getting by with 7 years in the line and getting fed up with the prospects. Whenever I look for jobs on linkedin I see a lot of that the recruiters aka Talent Acquisition Partners are also once in technical fields. Why did they switch to do HR I wonder?

Hi there,

The main reason I think they switch to HR from a technical background because they get the commission on every successful hire the employers made. Probably when they worked as an IT or something else then they referrer their friend to the company and they made even higher than their normal salary, that's why they switched. Some people just do that job as a part-time job to make the second income.:)

You are right. That is truth.

Wow, really got part-time HR jobs that can earn referral income like that?
