OMG really!? But HR told me due to budget issue, they will be giving one person 3.8k. The rest will continue to receive 5k. I guess that your friend is very lucky then.

I heard 3.8k increment very high also.. Each increment is - 500 :)

I'm just here eating popcorn as I don't work for DBS, but can confirm the average monthly gross for fresh NUS CS grad in 2020 is 5.5k. It is analyzed statistics and you can find it everywhere on the internet published by reputable media publishers.
