Max GPA is 4 in my uni. Not SMU. Just learn how to use angular and requests. Also do help out your assigned teammates. I think what they want to see is how well you can communicate with your team on top of your skillset.

Anyway to clear some of your doubts (of course you can choose to take this with a pinch of salt)
Current starting pay is 5k
Fixed rank promotion after you complete your program
You enjoy same benefits as perm staff
Entitlement to annual bonus
It really depends on what kind of projects you get in your role that helps to pave your future path.
Just try to be more proactive and voice out your interest when you get in.
