Just curious, for those of you who already finished their TT, how were your group members like? I had a few people in my team that were from SIM linguistic and other irrelevant degrees. They were all nice so I'm glad they got in but this kind of worries me because they couldn't write a simple JS function.
When the programme starts, what exactly do SEEDers do? Is this like a typical tech job where you get put in a team, daily stand ups, work on tickets and stuffs? Or do SEEDers in a team get lumped together to build some rubbish Poc that gets tossed away? I read the NodeFlair website and they mentioned that we'll work on Pocs... yea not sure if this is ******** or legit. |

what result are you waiting for? the team invite? |
just want to know, how do yall rate swe jobs in these banks from good to best?
OCBC, SC bank, credit agricole, credit suisse, JP morgan, Macquarie Are there tiers or what |

From there I just see what their experiences are like. For example I have 3 friends in JPM, pay is 5.8 - 6.2k, two of them have shitty WLB, they work till 8pm on most days except Fridays while that 1 other friend only does 8 to 5pm everyday. I got some batchmates in OCBC tech team, lower pay, better WLB. Then I basically rank these banks based on what I want. ( Better WLB vs better pay ) That's how I do it tbh. Glassdoor reviews imo are useless... I'm currently in a large tech company with >4.0 glassdoor rating over 30k+ reviews, almost 0 negative reviews yet everyday I see employees arguing in standup meetings and devs fighting over on-call rotations lol. You really need to get close to your uni batch mates and keep them in touch to get all the useful info. |
Oh btw another perk of having friends wanting to join similar companies is that they will share interview questions with you... most companies reuse them so it means easier interviews for you too.
But that's if you don't have weird ass friends who wanna gatekeep you from joining lol, from personal experience, I have never met a friend like this so far. |

DBS SEED Salary and Benefits - Does it pay well?
The offer is non-negotiable and starts at $5,000. * It will be increased to $5,275, $5,900 and $6,400 at the 6, 12 and 24 months mark Saw this one the infamous nose flair website.. is this verified or CSB? Seems too good to be true |

There's no increment. Nodeflair even states that they cannot confirm the pay. Like many have said in the past, it's hardstuck 5k for the first year, you might get $150 after a year but that depends on team.
Also shortlisted means "back-up / waiting list". Background checks do not take 3 weeks, they just want you to "wait" so that they can release offers in batches and give them 1 week to accept. The ones who reject the offer, they will give their placing to those in "shortlisted" waiting list. |
