I'm wondering this also...

Wasting our time? or is this TT5 for the next year Jan intake? Like I don't get it... can anyone answer?

also before you say its trash blah blah, I know... I only want to try the hackathon for fun and maybe try to negotiate their offer if I get it.

I already got rakuten offering me 5.8k ( start in june ), was thinking if I can maybe try 6k base pay with SEED lmao ( probably 0 chance but I try anyway )

same here lmao. except i think seed is quite shitty for tech. advise u to find other tech roles if u still have time. otherwise its rly up to u, but i wouldnt recommend seed

but i am using tech seed as a springboard to jump to other tech firms.. if not very difficult start elsewhere since my programming skills is very basic and it seems DBS is accepting anyone as long you can do simple coding. And of course $5000 is above avg for engin.

uhh bro u know in resume u must specify the title and all those accurately right? if not u lose offer or get terminated during background checks?

if im not wrong, when u join as seed, ur title is "GRADUATE SEED TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS" or something like that... a lot of tech companies will immediately know u went for some cookie cutter mill tech program.

i mean u can try lah but just giving u a heads up. sometimes its better to take a "Software engineer" or "Full-stack" or "Tech associate" role title than some "programme" role.

heres my 2 cents as someone from the same course. if u are set on tech then yes u are right my priority goes smth like this: 1)Tech role in tech company 2)Non tech role in tech company 3)tech role in non tech company 4)non tech in non tech company

if u are set on 1) it means u have lots of catch up to do and u need to put ur mind to it to catch up on fundamentals to survive in the tech world. if u alr know ur programming skills is very basic, what im tryna say is u gotta git gud (either during ur job itself or by grinding leetcode for interviews)

imo micron is better.

It's a well known large semi conductor company.

Lots of tech roles in it, reputable as well especially in the US where tech is literally the biggest.

Tech in bank is abit uhh... Weird to say the least.

Unless you're a dev at JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs, being a dev at DBS, let alone a SEED dev is like a joke lol. It's worse if you're from CS because it shows you suck and couldn't make it to an actual tech role in a tech company.

Can engineering peeps stop trying to join CS related fields. Its very annoying just like how we dont fight over your low paying engineering jobs, I don't see why you should fight with us.
