Equity Research jobs
Hi guys,
I'm currently a penultimate year business student looking to break into equity research. So far, I have done 1 internship at a family office as an investment analyst and I really like the job scope.
I would like to ask if anyone has any idea on what's the starting salary for sell-side ER analysts at bulge bracket banks (GS, JPM, CS) vs local banks (DBS, UOB), and also, what is the pay range for ER analysts at boutique long only funds/hedge funds in Singapore?
Thanks

I did, but the figures I got from glassdoor were rather inconsistent. They said that ER analysts can be paid 130 - 200k a year. How is that even possible given that investment banking analysts in BB's are paid that amount? I did browse thru WSO forums too but not sure if US analysts salaries are the same as that of SG analysts.
Also, you don't have to be a dick about it.

BBs will naturally pay much more than local banks. The disparity is similar to that in IBD for base pay but less overall because ER bonuses are much smaller. Buyside pay will vary a lot depending on the type of firm. For large international firms like Fidelity and Capital Grp, expect high single-digits per month; for boutiques, hard to say but use AUM per head as a guide to what the firm can afford.
