Linux & Java System Adminstrator, Location:Yokohama,Japan

We require a Linux & Java System Administrator (with Java Web App Admin Experience) for our growing team. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a Kubernetes orchestrated Big Data Cluster solution.

This role is in Japan but Japanese is not required and you will be working in a team where all communication is carried out in English.

Requirements:
Solid Linux System administration experience.

Good background Administering environments running Java Web Applications


You will learn:
Cloud Native Kubernetes System Administration on Big Data Clusters

Work Scope:
-Cluster Deployments
-Kubernetes Administration
-Application Administration such as Patching / Upgrades / Resource Management
-Tuning & Updating of Alerts & Monitoring Dashboards using Kibana,
-Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Grafana.
-Evaluating new applications to run on the cluster to address customer requirements.


Not Required but a Plus:
Experience as a DBA is a plus as it gives an understanding of administration of data centric solutions.

Any experience with Spark, Hadoop, NiFi, Zeppelin administration.

Why do you think so? As I know, Japanese are very advanced in technology and robotics, so the job perspective is very good in my opinion, but the competition should be very high for it. I suppose that a lot of people wanna be there. If I were living in Japan, I would definitely apply for it, but I am living in the US, so I work using https://www.time4vps.com/, from my home, and I like this option way more than moving to another country where I know no one, have no idea about the language and start everything from 0.
