Yes i have also heard about this. They left these interns (who for the most part have gone around boasting to their friends that they’ve got a FT offer) high and dry. Just plain unlucky.

those "incoming analyst at ..." deserve it for announcing too early.

also, big wake up call that getting an offer in itself is barely an achievement. being a star at work is.

It's known that banks pay their off-cycle interns way lesser than their summer interns. Nomura definitely hires front office summer interns in S&T and IBD and their pay is definitely more than 4k pls.

Citi pays super low for off cycle but their summer is way higher.

Barclays even pay their finance dept summer Intern 3k.

Second this. Credit Suisse paid their Risk and Tech interns 3k, PB was 5k and IB was 9k.

I had quite a number of friends who had their internship offers rescinded.... we live in incredible times. Initially it was pretty difficult for me to get one.
