Enough for a family of 3?

Hi all,

I'm being offered 84k gross in singapore as a Business Analyst Consultant.

Could anyone tell me if this is enough to maintain a comfortable lifestyle and still be able to save a good amount of money?

I will be moving with my wife and my 6 months old daughter, my wife will not be working.

I'm not looking to live a luxurious lifestyle so in terms of housing I would look for a normal 2-3 bedroom appartment/flat

looking forward to your comments!

That's 7k per month. More than enough for a comfortable life in HDB. May even be able to afford a small family car. If you wanna save more, take public transport and eat at coffee shops (or ask wife to cook - even better).

You mean the company cannot find a Singaporean to do the job of a business analyst consultant?

I think they can

I think they can find someone but they just liked my profile and I'm not too far from Singapore.

Cheers!

Then he must be a foreigner, a PR at least. Definitely not a singapore citizen. Right now?

U have to consider e lifestyle changes, 7K is high enough for individual, but considering you have family and your wife is not working, it is just enough.

Use the household benchmark and see with your family income of 7K, in which percentile you are in.
