If it's something that will accelerate your career, then do it for a couple of years. You'll thank yourself for the next 30 years.

I mean, if you have no other offers then take it. You can make use of the travel time to read or do something productive. But I wouldn't last more than 3 years. Most of the staff there drive to work. So you can either buy a car, rent a car, grab, or find another job later on but for now I think it's an okay job to accept. Bear in mind that changi is back office though, so do plan for your progression. All the best!

check with your Hiring Manager or HR if there are any shuttle bus arrangement.
Many of the banks there do offer Shuttle Bus service.

Hey guys. I work at CBP stanchart and yes the place is flooded with overseas indians IT people. There are a few angohs too and locals too. I do take shuttle bus. I stay at alexandra so i have company shuttle bus that drops at dhoby ghaut. I take 1hr 30 mins to commute from work to home. Im 26/F and salary is low as a degree holder. So when i saw a good opportunity i just grabbed it. My salary is 2.5K :( anyways enough about me. To answer your question, if you are young and not married and commuting to longer distances wouldnt be much a hassle if you are ok with killing time. Anyways congrats on your offer!

I will take it if I'm you. 5k is a good pay for fresh grad. also most banks there offer shuttle bus services from various MRT stations. use your commuting time productively.
