Civil Service Performance Bonus

It is approaching that time of the year again. That is, rewarding civil servants for a year of hard work with bonus. How many months of bonus would it be this year (in addition to the standard 13th month)?

While 1st class and 2nd upper can net you promo faster, it also depends on performance and there are people with no honors being promo if they are 'hard working' (subject to interpretation) and well liked (carry balls). I know a case where buying chicken rice for the boss often really gave someone a leg up the ladder (combining hard work [knowing to buy favorite chicken rice] and being well liked [buy lunch for boss]).

Doesn't CS give out bonuses twice a year? So, including 13th month, you are getting close to 2 months right?

I think civil servants indeed get up to 4.5 months. haha

CS bonus payout AY2011

-April, performance bonus 1.5 - 3mth(or more) dependent on individual performance, for degree average "C" will get 1.5mth

-July, 0.5mth(AVC) + $250 to all civil servants

-Dec, 0.75mth(AVC) + 1mth(AWS) to all civil servants

so for year 2011, for average 'C' performer, he/she will get 1.5+0.5+0.75+1.0 + $250 = 3.75mth + $250.....




for this year 2012,
-july, 0.3 mth(AVC) only

no, i concur. i think 0.45 month. On top of the 13 month. so total pay+ 13 month+ 0.45 mnonth

assuming a 2nd lower managed to get into a stat board...

will he be given equal chance for promotions like the 2nd uppers and 1sts even tho their starting salary is different? or does it depend on the stat board?

You bet! I got a B grade for performance and hence 3 months of bonus for my grade.

Hence, for the year of 2012, I got 3mth (performance) + 0.3mth (mid year) + 1mth (13th mth) + End of year (yet to be released).

Assuming it is 0.2mth (abit of an underestimation), I would get a total of 4.5 months. You are right !
