U from which ministry/agency/statboard?

Unregistered 01-03-2022 01:53 AM

It seems that there is no promotion for c or C+ grader unless you can get a B grade.. , correct ? Especially for junior officer !

Unregistered 01-03-2022 03:22 AM

LTE 7 in LTA, usually how much is pb for avg performer in LTA? I heard from colleague the standard is always 1.5months, only if u did extra side projects and boss recommend u then can get 2mth++. is that true? thanks!

Yes, i got 2.4 months previously (2019) in LTA for pb.

Unregistered 01-03-2022 08:11 AM

Hi, I joined civil service in May last year. Will I be eligible for pb if I leave after one year contract in May this year?

Unregistered 01-03-2022 09:21 AM

which civil service has the best opportunities for promotion?

As a general rule, any organisation with a young management (40s and below) will mean better and fairer opportunities for promotion.

The worst justification for not promoting an outstanding staff in her early 30s to manager that I've ever heard was "she is too young". This was from someone in old senior management team.

"YOUNG"... _|_

PB is awarded in 31 Mar and the person has to stay on at least 1 month after that.

for time-scale scheme like MX, a B may accelerate promotion but there are time norms associated with each position (min time in grade).

Must stay for one month after it is distributed, but your pb may hit your account earlier than end of March. Just be aware, can tender whenever but end of service just end of April would be best

Its not that they can claw back, but that the date is 31 Mar. if you receive earlier, its still 31 Mar as the date of PB so 30 Apr as last day is probably correct.

i just saw the faq, it clearly stated, as long as tender resignation before or on pb day then not eligible. so just tender the day after is fine im sure :)

it doesnt make sense to try to package in. announcing a salary review has better optics and a better morale booster

Unregistered 01-03-2022 11:16 PM

Issit possible if u currently MX12 holding executive position, then boss inform that u will be posted to a higher job role, Assistant Director in this coming May. Then come June, u will be promoted to MX11 (which is the norm for AD position) Issit possible?

Or need to wait 1 more year for them to access u first to see if u fit for AD role before they can promote u to MX11? Or promotion can be instant once u take over high job role, means u will be promoted?

Unregistered 01-03-2022 11:57 PM

Tell your RO dont talk cock so much. He or she just wants u to stay in your job giving hope but empty promises. There are others who get 4 Bs in a row but still not promoted.

Promotion depends on your CEP, not very much on performance. If there is another officer who get B for first year and C+ for 2nd year, but his CEP is higher than you, then he will be on the promotion list ahead of u.

I think you will only have chance for promotion if your RO recommended and supported by CO. CO should have the final say.

Unregistered 02-03-2022 06:18 AM

New ADP does not have CEP anymore. Handbook stated performance will be based on last 2-3 years ADP. Anyway promotion in CS sometimes are very contradicting. Depends on how well you show your wayang. RO might just give you good grade to keep you and CO might not seen the truth side.

Even if both RO and CO supported your promotion, it doesnt guarantee that you will be promoted. Need to get approval from the big boss from the Ministry that u are in. You are vying against other agencies within that same Ministry.

What do u expect? Farmers made up of 90-95% of civil servants. They are at the top of the pecking order of course they will be promoted faster as they are an asset to the organisation. Govn also invests in them by providing scholarship and want to retain them in service as long as possible.
