If you're a teacher, I can suggest you to try doing private tuition, freelance, join a tuition centre, or if you have the capacity just start your own. I became a teacher cause I thought it would be meaningful to give back but the environment has changed drastically. Last time every student fears their teacher, now is the other way round. Teacher have to walk on eggshells when around their students, anything wrong their parents come down hard.

It’s all one-sided story of yours.
Teachers’ income are considered high already, still want adjustment somemore.
You think SL so free everyday to scold Teachers ? Or you are the only one that kanna the most chiding from SLs ? And if so, why are you the special one ?? You are paid not just to teach, but also manage difficult/ spoilt students as well. Didn’t you learn that in NIE ?? You mentioned Parents treat school as childcare, but it’s the office staff who is handling them after school, not you !! Don’t sound as if you stay back after school to babysit them.

From a third party's perspective, I think your first few statements are debatable and not necessarily wrong.
But your last few statements are bull crap. If you are just a member of public who's always spitting and stepping on the role of educators (especially as a parent, and a bad example at that), I really wish you the worst. If you only have baseless and childish accusations to throw around, then shutting up is the better thing to do.

Aiya, there’s always more than one solution to every problem. If cannot tahan the stress from bosses and stakeholders, then leave your job and seek for other less stressful jobs lah. Downside is lower income and lesser benefits. Weigh the pros and cons yourself. The choice is yours.
