Just wait for official notification. There are a lot of false information being posted about exact quantum amount for PB that no boss would know or disclose.
|
That's interesting. I'm working in a school, and our boss already briefed all staff to help set expectations. I'm guessing that was done throughout MOE - if it's throughout civil service, I'm surprised not everyone has done the same.
For us, grades C-, C and C+ will have the quantum reduced by about 0.2 months. No change for high performers (A & B). Quote:

I also work in a school and no such 'briefing' was done. Anyone who says they know for sure or that they have been briefed cannot really be trusted unless they disclose the source of this information. Especially if they make reference to a 'boss' when they claim to work in a school. The information should be out in a matter of days, so let's wait to find out. Just be patient and don't fuel the rumour mill.

My P did the staff also about the reduced in quantum for some grades at the beginning of the year. So it is true and not a lie

I'm the one who earlier shared about briefing in school. "Boss" label was used since this is not an MOE-Specific thread. =)
Anyway, agree that there's no way for those not already briefed by superiors to know for sure. I've also seen plenty of inaccurate info previously spread on this platform. 😂 Since it's probably just a few days away, best to wait for official notification to know for sure. Hardly a life or death issue right now. (I just find it really interesting because I'd previously assumed SLs were advised to brief all staff on it - but clearly that's not what happened!) Quote:

Mine had the briefing too. My friend's school didn't. Obviously some Ps don't do ehat they are supposed to. Anyway since affects ministry wide there is nothing to hide. They should email everyone via gov email.
|
So what’s in this “briefing” actually?
Means C+ and below no PB? |
Seems the actual comment was buried in the ensuing discussion:

Just checked with my boss and HR director. No change for this year's PB quantum as they have already been scoped for under current FY. My SB is full compliance to IM.
Best is to share legit info when you get your letter. I'll update when I received mine. |
My guess is that they form a smaller % of the workforce, and the decision was made that the cost of maintaining their PB quantum was not that high, in order to recognise the ministry's top performers.

It's taking longer than usual for them to make the PB announcement.. perhaps due to current covid19 issues..?
|
It will be released this Saturday. If release now, Pac@Gov will slow down a lot and people who don’t get the grade which they are expecting will have no mood to work for the rest of the week...

I'm not sure what exactly you find nonsensical - I had stated very clearly that my data was MOE-specific. Sorry that you find that so offensive.

Pb quantum for schools is not even fix. I can get C+ this year and receive 1.75months while C+ the next year but receive 2months bonus. The P will distribute the lump sum. Nothing to do with covid-19. Nonsensical to say that A and B remains the same while the othet grades are adjusted down.

Like I'd mentioned before, i can understand why you would doubt an anonymous post on the internet - think it'll become clearer when you get your own PB quantum (if you are among the C-grade spectrum).
The school briefing was actually done quite early in the year, before COVID was so obviously an issue - think it was actually a sequel to our fantastic 0.1month year-end bonus and not intended to be linked to the virus situation. My initial intent was just to share one data point (reduction of PB quantum for one officer scheme from a single ministry), since no one else seemed to be offering all that much information. I was curious to see if this was similar throughout the civil service. Seems like that might not be the case, from the general response. But since there is so much hostility towards this sharing of information, i shall stop here. Quote:

Agree. My sch has not announced yet but some cols have gotten wind that there will be adjustments to PB. 1 ex col said she heard from her hq friends, 1 col said her friend who is a hod has been briefed. All is he says, she says,so I guess we can only see it for ourselves when we receive the email or logon to pac@gov.

Will PB be linked to variable merit increment? Say a ranking of 4 (or probably C) will lead to increment of $X amount and a higher ranking means the merit increment is higher? Or is the increment based on one's CEP?

Have not received internal circular/ announcement. Unlikely for the PB to be credited in on Saturday.. unless PB payment date differs from various SB and Ministries?

Two questions.
Will the quantum for pb be lower this year compared to previous years for the same grade? Will there be any merit increment this year considering the current economic condition? |
If you are promoted, would you get an official letter from HR before knowing the increment on Pac@Gov?
|

Merit increment is based on your contract and there will still be. |
