It really depends on the impact of your performance. If within 8 months, you can produce work that is of high impact and way better than what others produce in 12 months, then I do not see why you cannot achieve good PB.

PB announcement in

MX11A in MOE. Grade C = 2 Months

Unregistered 17-03-2018 08:17 AM

MOE grade B : 2.75mths

Unregistered 17-03-2018 09:01 AM

Hi all! Just seeking some advice, when exactly is the default 'C'? Is it when the Pac@Gov notice is blank, or is it when there is an explicitly endorsed grade that is 'C?'

For your advice, please. Thanks!

That's highly possible if you joined in after the grading exercise. So, you could be ungraded and be given the same PB as a C grader

If you have been graded, there will be an "endorsed performance grade: _____ " at the top of the payslip.

Thanks, I basically joined in Sep 2016 to start the bond, so I went through an empty payslip in March 2017, and this is the first endorsed grade 'C'.

Pretty bummed partially because my boss kept changing.

Unregistered 17-03-2018 04:24 PM

Moe geo3 grade C 1.75months

Unregistered 17-03-2018 05:58 PM

MOE default PB C grade is 1.5

High C is 1.75.

C has a range of 1.25 to 1.75 for GEO grades.

SEO is 2.5 for C grade.

Unregistered 18-03-2018 09:13 AM

NOT true.

SEO C is 2.0 not 2.5

Unregistered 18-03-2018 10:37 AM

Mha c 1.75

Unregistered 18-03-2018 11:09 AM

does pb come with a range or does it fluctuate from year to year?

in my previous grade, my C was X months. Was promoted last year and this year got a C again, but my pb is X-0.2 months.

i was initially expecting a higher quantum for the same grade after the promotion.

Thats quite weird. Cos like u said, usually for same pb grade, the quantum gets higher as you get promoted. Though yes pb does come with a range for each grade. Guess it also depends on the amount allocated within your ministry/agency for bonuses. Perhaps those in the same grade as you got a higher quantum. You work in ministry or stat board? And are you on mx scheme or specialist scheme?

Hi all, I saw a facebook post saying civil servants with a grade b performance can get a total of 5 months plus of bonuses a year. Is it true?

non-performance related bonus (incl AWS) is alr 3 months last year.
a grade b performance typically get 2+ months.

so yea, 5+ months is about there.

Do most people get grade B? Is it easy to get grade A? how much more bonuses will a grade A civil servant get compared to a grade B one?

For any grade there is a range... As you are just promoted, your C is a lower grade C hence lower number of months renumeration.

MOE teachers are typically C. Maybe it's easier for other ministries and stat boards... But for teachers, mostly are C graders.

Unregistered 18-03-2018 06:14 PM

Male, 1987

Ministry, MX11A, C+, 2.5 months

AVC for 2017 was 1.5 mths plus 13th mth AWS so total non-performance bonus last year was 2.5 mths. But last year was an exceptional year, average for most years is more like around 2 mths, or less.

The vast majority of CS/PS staff will get C (I mean C-, C, C+ etc) or the equivalent, which is the minimum grade to qualify for PB. B grade is uncommon, unless you. either clearly perform above your peers, boss likes you, you are not a farmer, or lucky. A grade is much more rare, even scholars do not always get A consistently.

Questions

Hi, I'm joined MOE 2004

2004-2014 full time
In this time:
2007-promoted to GEO 1A1 (initially they forgot to promote me-I asked my P cos all my peers who came in together with me promoted. And I was fairing better -2005 C+, 2006 B, 2007 B so wen I didn't get promoted-I asked my P. She enquirer and they found out they had missed my name. So when all promoters were announced in late march-Mine was announced 1 wk later)
2008 GEO1A2
2009 maternity leave 4mths
2012 maternity leave 4mths

2015-2016 NPL (childcare)
*2015-with the new grades coming in-I was changed to GEO4

2017 returned to 3/4load
2017 - C grade 1.5

Wondering how my progression is. I'm not a KP. But doing coordinatorship at the current Sch for 1yr.

Wondering if the 1A2 becoming the GEO 4 was a promotion or was it all 1A2-became GEO4

Also what r my chances of being promoted to GEO 5 anytime soon
Also what's the increment from GEO 4-5?

Thk u for answering

Unregistered 22-03-2018 06:30 AM

If I got a C for PB for my work in 2017. What's the merit increment that I will get in April 2018?
I'm 37. GEO 4. Was on 3/4 load in 2017.

Appreciate the assistance.
