Which Job Should i take

Hi Guys,

A couple of questions here. Got 2 offer from different companies.

A: Basic: 3500/month+VB (Title: Product Management Executive)
B: Basic: 3100/month+AWS+VB+Fixed Transport allowance (Title: Sales Support Executive) (brain-dead work)

Which job has the potential to get me a higher salary in future (i.e to say, asking for a 4000 basic/month job)? Since both A and B adds up to almost the same annual amount.

My previous company's general manager has also came back to me wanting to discuss a new role for me But i don't get along with the colleagues from my previous company at all except for those in management. Would you suggest i return? Previously they are only paying me 2600/month+AWS+VB.

Would you suggest A or B in terms of future earnings and prospects.

Thanks guys!

1. depends on what companies they are
2. recession coming, rather you take the hire basic
3. you already say B is brain-dead, so take A if you want career progression

Mind advising on this?

You'd have to define brain dead. If you want to look at progression, then you'd have to look at the job scope of each job and compare them to see which can lead you up the management levels.

Brain dead in a sense that you spend weeks chasing colleagues (they are neither cooperative nor tech savvy) from other countries for their sales numbers and reports. Then following that, simply spin off some stories to explain decrease in sales to HQ (Think: Admin assistant), Breaking down SEA sales report into individual country's report as well as vetting and amending their powerpoint slides (Think: English teacher). Its really mind numbing and there are loads of processes that are duplicated. Totally has no sense of achievement at all. Though the pay is decent for the job. But i cannot foresee how im contributing to the organisation in this manner. I'm basically responsible for loads of reports that no ones bothers to look at. And yes. Doing that can take a entire month.

Sounds like what i doing now but I am not doing sales; the people i am chasing is in the same organisation/location. They have higher rank than me, and complained to my boss/gossip when i chase them too hard or ask them "too many" questions. Sometimes they don't bother explaining properly, and i myself have to cook the stories for them. Then kenna whack by boss for giving the info so late.

Its not an easy role, especially if you are flagging people out and people may not be that cooperative and try to hide stuff.

I am not sure whats your background, but think of skills transferability, if you foresee if this role would be automated/outsourced in the future.
