How does comp for MF and BBs compared to nyc/london. Does apollo pay USD 400k all in for 1st year associate.
Im currently studying in a top UK uni (Oxbridge/ LSE) but I am a sg citizen. How do these uni rank compared to the Big 3 sg unis?
Also is there analyst-recruiting for pe or do firms prefer to recruit for associates from analysts at other banks?

For London difficult to get the working visa. For New York you need stellar academic, outstanding ccas, good disposition and ace the interview. Nothing less than these ! You shall stand an equal chance competing against first class honours from the big 3 local. Frankly I do not see any advantages.

Minor advantage if oxbridge but don't bank on it. Some regional firms (non-MF) do hire analysts. I'd argue that middle-market/regional firms are where the action is, not MF where deal flow is slow and org is top heavy. Longer term, getting promoted quickly (carry) will matter much much more than the starting pay so don't get too fixated on it.
