I assume this hierarchy is based on pay, progression, prestige and job scope ya?
I am in Global Markets but am thinking of moving towards the asset management field (buyside).

Not to burst your bubble, Corporate Banking in DB is really bad. Really bad pay.
Actually DB hasn't been good at all, even their FO (eg. IB), has very bad culture and bad deal flow.
